Economist Parakala Prabhakar joins anti-SIR protest in Hyderabad; seek CEC’s resignation

Economist Parakala Prabhakar joined actor-activist Prakash Raj and citizens at Hyderabad’s Tank Bund on October 24 for a human chain protest against the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Protesters demanded the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner, the revocation of the 2023 appointment law, and the complete scrapping of the SIR to protect democratic integrity.
