Connaught Place Central Park Shut Ahead Of CJP Protest; Delhi HC Denies Stay

The New Delhi Municipal Council has announced that Central Park in Connaught Place will remain shut on October 16 and 17 citing administrative reasons. The closure comes ahead of the proposed Leherado Tiranga March called by CJP leader Abhijeet Dipke. Earlier, the Delhi High Court declined to pass an order restraining the protest, while the Delhi Police assured the bench that all possible measures would be taken to maintain order. With the park's closure, demonstrators will not be allowed to assemble at the inner circle venue, setting the stage for a potential face-off between protesters and the administration.
