CJP Founder Abhijeet Deepke Heckled At Delhi Airport After Return From Maharashtra
Tensions escalated in the national capital following the return of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Deepke to Delhi from Maharashtra, where he had gone for his grandmother's final rites. Upon landing at Delhi airport, Deepke was confronted by individuals who questioned his actions before police escorted him away. This follows the arrest of CJP co-conveners Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, along with party spokesperson Ajinkya Shinde. Das and Ranka have been remanded in five-day judicial custody at Tihar Jail for breaching barricades at Jantar Mantar, which had been de-notified as a protest site. The court cited a violation of their previous peace bond. Shinde was released after furnishing a peace bond of ₹5,000 with directions to maintain peace for six months and avoid unlawful protests. CJP's legal team has moved Patiala House court seeking bail for Das and Ranka, who are held separately in jail numbers two and four.
