Ultraviolette will also launch the X-47 Venom in Europe at EICMA 2026 in Milan on November 3.Ultraviolette X-47 Venom: Performance and rangeThe X-47 Venom produces 40bhp and 550Nm of torque at the wheel. Ultraviolette claims a 0-60kmph acceleration time of 2.7 seconds and a 0-100kmph time of 5.9 seconds.

The motorcycle has a top speed of 155kmph and a kerb weight of 180kg, making it up to 20kg lighter than the previous-generation platform.Power comes from the new UV LIGHTFURY electric motor, which uses soft magnetic composite (SMC) technology. The motor has been developed to reduce weight and energy losses while improving power density.

Ultraviolette has also introduced a new motor control unit that is twice as compact and offers three times the power density, according to the company. The motorcycle gets a 1.6kW onboard charger for conventional charging, alongside support for 12kW external DC fast charging.

Ultraviolette claims the X-47 Venom is the only electric two-wheeler in India capable of charging at this power level.New VX-100 platform and battery technologyThe X-47 Venom is the first motorcycle built on Ultraviolette's new VX-100 100V architecture. The platform combines the SRB-11 battery technology, a new motor and a revised motor control unit, with the aim of improving performance, efficiency and thermal management while reducing weight.

The SRB-11 battery features a 100V configuration and offers up to 20% higher energy density and twice the cooling performance, as claimed by the company. An optimised thermal management system is designed to dissipate heat up to 50% faster.

The battery is housed in a cast-aluminium enclosure and has an IP67 rating for protection against dust and water immersion.Safety equipment includes a battery management system with a pyro-fuse designed to isolate the electrical circuit within microseconds when a critical fault is detected. The battery pack also gets cell-level fuses.

Ultraviolette says the VX-100 architecture is modular and can be adapted for different battery capacities, vehicle configurations and power outputs in future products.Radar-based safety features and new technologyThe X-47 Venom retains Ultraviolette's UV Hypersense radar system, which uses a 77GHz rear radar to monitor traffic up to 200 metres away. The system supports blind-spot monitoring, lane-change assistance, overtake alerts and rear-collision warnings.

In the event of a potential rear collision, the motorcycle can activate its hazard lights and alert the rider through the integrated mirrors.Other features include a new 7-inch TFT LCD touchscreen called UV INTERFACE X, cruise control, a rear-camera feed with Park Assist and Mappls-based navigation. The motorcycle also gets VIOLETTE A.I. connected functions, including movement, fall and towing alerts, remote lockdown, crash alerts, Delta Watch and an anti-collision warning system.Ultraviolette has also introduced B-MAX, a reusable safety vest designed to extend rider protection beyond the motorcycle.

The company claims the vest meets twice the CE safety standards and offers 86% force attenuation. It covers areas including the collar, back, chest, sides and hips, and incorporates a cervical brace, spinal protection and thorax chambers.

The vest can be reused up to five times, according to the company. The X-47 Venom is also eligible for an extendable warranty covering up to 8,00,000km, as stated by Ultraviolette.Ultraviolette expands its technology platformWith the VX-100 architecture, Ultraviolette is developing a modular foundation for future electric motorcycles across different segments and markets. The X-47 Venom is the first product to use the new platform, combining a higher claimed range, increased performance, faster charging and additional rider-assistance features. The company will showcase the motorcycle in Europe at EICMA 2026, as it looks to expand its presence in international markets.Subscribe to Auto Today Magazine - Ends
