ACP who led Delhi Police protest suspended

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Manasvi Vashishtha, who became the face of a rare protest by Delhi Police personnel outside the Delhi Police Headquarters, has been suspended. The protest was held against departmental action taken against Vashishtha and another police officer following a face-off with lawyers at a police station in Shahdara, Delhi, on October 23.In a message to fellow police personnel, Vashishtha confirmed the suspension but said the development had not affected morale.
