What's next for Jamia?

After weeks of protests and hunger strikes, Jamia Millia Islamia has agreed to hold Students' Union elections by August 2027, nearly 21 years after the last polls in 2006. The administration has also promised to revoke disciplinary action against protesters, following which students called off their hunger strike.
