Members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad were detained in Hyderabad after staging a protest ahead of stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra's show, Standing Up, at the TGRTC Kala Bhavan. Protesters opposed the performance over alleged offensive remarks made against Hindu deities. Following threats to disrupt the event, police made elaborate security arrangements at the venue. A group of 10 to 15 VHP activists arrived at the location, prompting swift intervention by the Chikkadpally police. The detained individuals were shifted to Lalaguda Police Station.
