Even as the Bengaluru police maintain that they are awaiting forensic science laboratory (FSCL) reports in connection with the alleged explosion at an under-construction building on Jeremiah Road, suspected to be triggered by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), investigators have intensified efforts to establish links and trace the source of the explosive materials.While the police have questioned Suraj, one of the two accused, the other accused, Allauddin, is still recovering from the injuries he sustained. The police said both the injured men had been giving contradictory statements.Meanwhile, investigators are attempting to identify and trace the person who reportedly delivered a bag containing the torch that exploded on October 20.
According to a senior police officer, the alleged substances were dropped off near a shop in the same locality, from where the bag was picked up and brought to the building.The police are now verifying the call records of the injured men and examining other technical details to trace the source of the bag.
