L Murugan Offers Resignation to Work in Tamil Nadu, Fueling Modi Cabinet Reshuffle Talk
Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting L Murugan has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting to be relieved of his ministerial responsibilities and Rajya Sabha membership. Murugan stated his intention to return to Tamil Nadu to work at the grassroots level and strengthen the Bharatiya Janata Party ahead of the 2029 elections. His resignation offer has intensified political speculation in New Delhi regarding an impending Union Cabinet reshuffle to accommodate fresh faces, with several ministerial positions already seeing shifts due to organisational appointments in state units. The move also comes following Prime Minister Modi's recent visit to Tamil Nadu.
