France’s looting had another side

While luxury stores like Hermès and Louis Vuitton, along with Apple outlets and other businesses, were looted across France during protests, reports also emerged of some men stealing sanitary napkins and handing them out to women they encountered on the streets.The unrest comes amid a broader movement that began with student-led rallies over deteriorating school conditions and has since expanded to include trade unions and groups protesting economic hardship and declining public services.
