Ramayana: Rise of Legend is just a day away, and while the buzz finally seems to be picking up at the advance booking counters, audiences are equally curious about what they will or won't get to see in the film. The biggest question of all: Will they get to spot Lord Hanuman?Sunny Deol, who plays Lord Hanuman in the film, recently began shooting for Part II.

Given the way the film has been structured, the Kishkindha Kand of Valmiki's Ramayana - the chapter that introduces Hanuman into the story - has been reserved for the second instalment. Which means that the first part is unlikely to feature Lord Hanuman.

However, India Today Digital has learnt that there could be a little surprise in store for fans.If you really want to watch the film first and have already booked your tickets for the first day, first show, we'd strongly recommend not reading any further. But if you're still trying to make up your mind about whether to watch it or not, trust us to help build that excitement.

Because what follows is strictly for the spoiler-curious. Consider this your warning! Most Indians have grown up reading or watching the Ramayana.

It is an integral part of countless Hindu households, and the story of Lord Rama and Goddess Sita remains one of the most enduring accounts of the triumph of good over evil. It is also a story of justice, sacrifice and a reminder that even God, when born as a human, cannot escape suffering.

That is what makes Nitesh Tiwari's directorial venture bigger than just another cinematic spectacle. As the makers have been telling us, Ramayana is "our truth, our history."And with that comes a rather enormous responsibility: to give audiences a taste of the same truth and history they have grown up with, while also leaving them with something to cheer about.

Which is where Lord Hanuman enters the picture. One of the most powerful figures in Hindu mythology and counted among the eight immortals, or Chiranjeevis, according to Hindu scriptures, Lord Hanuman commands a presence like few others.

The anticipation of catching even a glimpse of the character in Ramayana is, therefore, understandable. Will we see Sunny Deol in Ramayana: Part I?A source close to the production told India Today Digital, "People might be in for a surprise in Ramayana: Rise of Legend. The makers have quite successfully concealed the entire Hanuman appearance.

While Deol's look might still not be completely unveiled, there could be a little something to really make audiences get up from their seats and start whistling and cheering."So, where exactly does this surprise feature? The source, without giving too much away, revealed that the film will largely focus on Rama and Sita's marriage, their journey into the forest with Lakshman, the rise of Ravana's reign and, eventually, the abduction of Goddess Sita.Clearly, the first part isn't where Hanuman makes his grand entrance as a full-fledged character played by Deol.

But that doesn't necessarily mean audiences should rule out a little something special. They might just have to sit tight and wait for it.That's all we're saying.Ramayana: Rise of Legend stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita.

The film also features Yash as Ravana, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, Arun Govil as Dashrath, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Rakul Preet Singh as Shurpanakha, Vivek Oberoi as Vidyutjeeva and Adinath Kothare as Bharat, among others. The film is set for a grand Diwali release, hitting theatres worldwide on November 5.- Ends
