Latika managed the anesthesia infusion. The team described it as a complex surgical procedure. “This is a remarkable achievement in advanced thoracic cancer surgery services in the Bagalkot-Vijayapura region,” they said. The patient had been suffering from chest pain, and examinations revealed a massive tumor that was exerting pressure on his heart.

Although the patient had sought treatment at several other hospitals over the past six months, the tumor could not be surgically removed. The chest cavity was opened, and the massive tumor, measuring approximately 25×20×15 centimeters, was carefully dissected and removed.“Since the tumor was attached to the lungs, the heart, and major cardiovascular structures, the surgery was performed with extreme precision to avoid damaging these vital parts,” Basavaraj Kerudi, president of the Halamma Kerudi Cancer Hospital, said.Mr. Kerudi congratulated the team.
