Delhi Police Headquarters turns into protest site
In an unusual “cops versus cops” situation, around 80 Delhi Police personnel gathered outside Police Headquarters to protest the transfer of two officers linked to the October 23 Shahdara police station clash, in which advocate Lalit Bansal allegedly suffered a serious head injury. The transfers were made to end lawyers’ indefinite strike across district courts, but many police personnel opposed them and demanded that the transfer orders be withdrawn.
