Custody Extended for Kokru Janata Party Leaders as Court Cites Breach of Peace
A magistrate's court has extended the judicial custody of Kokru Janata Party members Saurabh Das and Ashutosh Ranka by two days, directing that they remain in Tihar Jail until the next hearing on 21 October. The order cited concerns regarding breach of bonds, conduct, and apprehensions of breach of peace and public disturbance during the festive season. The court also deemed previous sureties unfit and requested fresh sureties, while Delhi Police expressed concerns about potential protests affecting law and order during Dussehra.
