(Photo- PTI) BJP national president Nitin Nabin will lead marches in Bihar and West Bengal on Monday as part of the party's nationwide 'Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao' campaign against the Opposition, news agency Press Trust of India reported. The campaign comes after the INDIA bloc called for the BJP's removal from power over allegations of "vote chori". At a rally on Sunday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar would be removed and jailed for "treason" in the future, and that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah would not be allowed to escape the law.Prominent INDIA bloc leaders addressed the rally at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan against alleged electoral irregularities and the revision of voter lists.

They claimed that the BJP had formed governments at the Centre and in states with a "stolen" mandate. In a statement, the BJP said Nabin would lead the 'Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao' marches in Bihar and West Bengal against the Opposition's "lies and anarchy". "BJP national president Nitin Nabin will lead two major 'Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao Padyatras' in Bihar and West Bengal on Monday as part of the party's nationwide campaign against the Opposition's misinformation, disinformation and organised anarchy," the party said.According to the BJP, the first march will begin around 11 am at Lajpat Park in Bhagalpur, Bihar, and end at Seva Jyoti Chowk at 12.30 pm. Nabin will then travel to Kolkata, where the second march will start at College Street at 3 pm and conclude at Dharmatala at 5.30 pm.

The party said senior leaders, state BJP presidents, thousands of party workers and members of the public would take part in the marches in Bhagalpur and Kolkata. The BJP described its campaign as a "movement against the lies, deception, conspiracies and anarchy being spread by a desperate and disillusioned Opposition"."With the resolve of 'Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao', every BJP karyakarta is reaching out to villages and households to expose the Opposition's false and fabricated narrative and apprise the people of the truth."On Sunday, Nabin led a march under the same campaign in Haryana's Rohtak district and criticised the Congress for holding the INDIA bloc's "Chalo Dilli" rally in the national capital on the anniversary of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, PTI reported."The Congress party should have sought atonement and offered an apology for the acts committed against the Sikh brethren -- the massacres and the killings that took place on this very day in 1984. Instead, today, they have come out to stage a protest," Nabin told the gathering in Rohtak.Nabin also accused the Congress of "double standards", saying it described its election victories in Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka as a "victory of democracy" but alleged that "democracy is in danger" after defeats in Haryana, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal."What kind of double standards and hypocrisy is this?

This makes one thing clear: they want democracy to function according to the Gandhi family's dictates, but democracy will function in accordance with the country's Constitution," he said. He also accused Gandhi of "acting at the behest of foreign powers".- Ends
